Bocas Town

Bocas Town is located on the north-west coast of Panama, approximately 20 miles south of the Costa Rican border. With approximately 10,000 residents in the entire Bocas del Toro archipelago, the sleepy seaside town of Bocas del Toro (Mouth of the Bull) is the capital city of the province that shares its name.

Bocas is accessible either by boat or air. However, most travelers fly into Panama City (to Tocumen International Airport) and take the one-hour flight to the Bocas airport. The airport is small and just minutes from Sunset Point.

One memory that stays with me, was stepping into the taxi minibus for the two-minute ride from the airport to the Sunset Point office. About eight of us got in - the taxi driver then proceeded to put all our luggage onto the completely-smooth roof ... and then proceeded to the office. Nothing was lost or dislodged (Webmaster).
